Henderson Professional Engineers is a civil engineering firm, formed at the end of 2020, with a team that has over 40 years of collective experience in land development and civil engineering. About the Administrative Assistant role

The Administrative Assistant role is a key role in the permitting of any land development project. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for coordinating with the engineer and technicians to complete permitting documents, coordinate submittal packages, and correspond with clients and municipal staff. The Administrative Assistant will frequently be required to perform the following activities:
• Answer office phone calls, screen and direct callers to the appropriate staff member
• Plan and schedule meetings
• Assist with word processing and formatting of written reports and documentation
• Obtain owner signatures and permitting fee checks as needed
• Create internal project files, file documents and maintain files for each project
• Conduct on-line research
• Submitting documents for permits and plats
• Manage office supplies and coordinate office maintenance as needed

Administrative Assistant Experience and Education

An Administrative Assistant must be a skilled communicator able to clearly convey and receive information by phone, email, or other media formats. An Administrative Assistant must also be proficient in the use of standard Office software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Some of the most important skills and qualifications include:

• Be proactive, trustworthy and personable
• Professionalism and effective communication
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Be personable and flexible
• Ability to multitask individually and with a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks

Civil Engineering experience is a welcomed plus to this role.
