**Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to join our team and oversee multiple software projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably with experience in software development and working with UI designers. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of various software projects, while also playing a key role in collecting specifications, coordinating testing efforts, and resolving roadblocks. **Responsibilities:**
1. **Project Planning and Coordination:**
– Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, for multiple software projects.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
– Ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals with stakeholders, team members, and clients.
2. **Requirement Gathering and Analysis:**
– Work closely with clients and stakeholders to gather software specifications and user requirements.
– Facilitate discussions to identify and prioritize feature sets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
– Provide insights and technical expertise to enhance the quality of requirements documentation.
3. **Testing and Quality Assurance:**
– Coordinate and oversee testing efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
– Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans, conduct testing, and ensure software quality.
– Address and resolve any issues related to product quality or functionality.
4. **Technical Expertise:**
– Utilize technical knowledge to understand the complexities of software development and provide informed guidance to development teams.
– Assist in resolving technical challenges, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and overall product quality.
5. **Project Progress and Monitoring:**
– Track project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively address issues that may impact timelines and deliverables.
– Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the original plan.
– Implement corrective measures to keep projects on track and within budget.
6. **Team Collaboration and Support:**
– Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication among team members.
– Unblock team members by addressing obstacles and ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks efficiently.
– Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members when necessary.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple software projects simultaneously.
– Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development and familiarity with different programming languages and technologies.
– Experience working closely with UI designers to deliver user-centric software solutions.
– Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
– Strong organizational and time management abilities.
– Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
– A proactive approach to identifying and resolving project roadblocks.
– Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
**Preferred (but not required) Skills:**
– Previous experience as a software developer or software engineer.
– Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
– Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
