Project Manager

THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and systemic Project Manager who will plan, implement, and execute the delivery of the software or web projects. The person needs to help the team visualize the flow end to end and ensure the smooth and successful completion of all projects through constant collaboration and communication with Product Managers, Developers and QA Teams. He/she must be able to manage the balance of delivering results on time and still ensuring quality of work within the team.

We operate a range of services to support our customers in running eCommerce stores, selling on the Amazon marketplace. We have three core products, one is the lead service that provides information on where to find products that you can buy low, to resell high, for a profit on the Amazon marketplace. The second service is a recruitment service for virtual assistants, to work within other Amazon sellers businesses and the third is the USS or Ultimate Sourcing Sheet which is a tool that supports Amazon sellers in collecting the data they need to monitor their business as it automatically creates the intelligence and insights needed by an Amazon seller to efficiently run the day to day of his Amazon Store.
Separate to all these three products, we also run our own Amazon Store in the US and UK Marketplace. We are well on our own journey to achieve £1,000,000 in quarterly sales for this year and we continue to grow.

The duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

KEY RESULT AREA #1 Project Planning
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan defining the project goals, securing the resources, clearing the timelines to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule using appropriate verification techniques
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Performance Metrics: Detailed and complete project plan

KEY RESULT AREA #2 Project Execution and Implementation
Participate in and supervise each stage of the project
Break down the elements needed to complete the project, such as assigning tasks, producing a timeline, and developing checkpoints for progress
Schedule and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain a realistic project schedule
Determine and oversee consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of products in all stages of completion
Track milestones, deliverables, and change requests
Identify action areas for improvements using a data-driven approach with clear measurable results, creating clear and effective process improvements
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Deliver completed software products and perform regular checks on the products’ performance
Performance Metrics: Complete resources, project timeline, quality of output, managed rework

KEY RESULT AREA #3 Project Partnership and Collaboration
Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with all stakeholders through constant update and alignment
Meet regularly, and get status updates to chart progress while reallocating resources as needed to avoid blocking team members or overburdening them
Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
Performance Metrics: Aligned project scope/requirement, Clear agreements

KEY RESULT AREA #4 Reporting and Documentation
Collect project data, such as status reports from the team, to see if the actual progress of the project is meeting based on initially planned
Complete and ensure that documents are signed off and archived by the end of a project to provide a history that can be revisited when planning for a similar project in the future
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Performance Metrics: Complete project documentation, signed off documents

THE REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Development Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field in a reputable university
Proven experience in project management and software development
Project Management Professional (PMP) or in the process of gaining certification within the next six months is a plus

TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW
Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Proven working experience in project management
