Project Manager – Agile Software Development

Are you an experienced agile project management who is ready to take on a very unique project? Sick of working for big companies, multiple projects at once, and ready for one that really matters, where your voice is heard, opinion valued and you’re working with a team who really love what they do?

We’re re-imagining an 18 year old LAMP SAAS web app which our users love (and many have loved since 2004)! The re-write uses cutting edge tech and our aim is to excite and over-whelm our users with what we can provide. Wow things have come a long way since 2004 when react was a word we used in science class! Re-writing an app like this doesn’t come without its challenges – we can’t give users any less than what they currently have, which has been honed and refined over the years to work exactly how they like it. Oh, did I mention we’re also taking it global?

We value best practice, W3C accessibility standards, and as always our users come before data. We’d rather say “how can we do that?”, than ” we cant do that”. We’re lucky to have a working prototype to base decisions on, as well as a keen and vert talented team of devs who love what they do. Being a small (growing) motivated, keen and very talented team we value flexibility and like to help each other when other need it. We test and critique each others work and love to solve complex problems together. As per agile principles, our primary gauge of progress is working software.

Our team is based in Australia, Philippines, India and Korea, and we like everyone to observe local working hours. Though we do offer flexibility in our work from home schedule. We meet daily at 1pm PHT and value the agile principles.

The app solves a big problem for food service (you can breathe again knowing its not a banking app!) and this relaunch will change the industry when it hits the market. It’s a fun project which you will be able to relate to and understand the problems it solves easily.

You’ll be responsible for grooming the backlog with the product owner, organising tasks and sprints, along with testing and feedback to the team, along with project planning. It goes without saying that you will have a good head for writing user stories, have some outstanding attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

We use Discord and Gitlab for communication/ project management.
