Job Description

Arcon Research Group is seeking a nighttime Project Manager Assistant. Arcon Research Group is a content writing company that delivers 6,000+ written pieces of content per year to hundreds of different customers. Project Manager Assistants are responsible for ensuring that project managers are well-supported during peak season, projects are delegated to the correct individuals, and that communication between writers & clients is well maintained.

We are seeking an individual who is available to start by the end of March with an excellent command of the English language, who is independent, and able to work at night. We are a small, friendly team of 5, consisting of 2 other employees from the Philippines. We are seeking individuals who are fully capable of following instructions, referring to manuals and video training that outline what to do in various situations, and who will do so in a quick, timely fashion.

Key responsibilities…

1. Assist the Project Managers with their tasks during the busy season.
2. Maintain communication between student and client, and serve as an intermediary between both parties during an 8-hour shift.
3. Talk to customers & writers via email on a daily basis.
4. Assign specific writing jobs to specific writers.
5. Update our CMS (Airtable) to reflect the status of ongoing projects.

Skills & Knowledge…

1. Ability to work independently & follow instructions, referring to manuals and video explanations.
2. Working at night, the hours on this job are non-negotiable.
3. Excellent comprehension and understanding of the English language.
4. Communication skills with native English speakers.
5. Proficiency with email & Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Any experience with proofreading or working in academia is an added benefit.

Time & Tasks…

1. Facilitating Communication

a. Ensure that any messages writers have for clients, or clients have for writers, are passed to the correct relevant parties via email.

2. Updating CMS / Administrative Work

a. Ensuring that our CMS (Airtable) accurately reflects the status of each project.

2. Quality Assurance

a. Following a checklist to complete a quick quality check and submitting completed assignments to clients, checking for errors in formatting, if the writer followed instructions. We offer training in this area if you have never done this before!

3. Communication

a. Leaving a report for the next Project Manager regarding what took place during your shift.
b. Staying in close touch with management should the need arise/constant accessibility on WhatsApp during your shift.

Hours: 1 AM – 9 AM Philippine Time, 5 days a week. As this is a temp/part-time role, you will start work by the end of March until the first week of May.

Wage: $450 – $500 per month + any agreed-upon overtime paid at 1.5X/hourly wage. There are opportunities for growth within the company.
