Project Manager (Data)

We seek a talented remote Data Project Manager to join our growing technology company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client implementations and ensuring the successful ongoing use of our software while maintaining positive client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities, and expertise in computational and data management tasks.

This full-time remote position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with specific details to be confirmed upon hiring.

Areas of Responsibility

Managing the successful implementation of new clients into our ecosystem and helping them effectively operate our software
Serving as a project manager, business analyst, and customer success manager
Collaborating with a small, highly efficient team that is experiencing rapid growth

Your tasks will include:

Acting as the primary project manager, creating, and managing project plans within our PM software, organizing client meetings, documenting notes and action items, preparing internal and external project documentation, and maintaining control over scope and budget
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients as a trusted advisor, managing issues and requests
Supporting requirements gathering, assisting in creating recommendations, participating in client sessions to detail requirements, writing functional test cases, conducting testing with the internal team, and managing clients through the UAT process
Proactively monitoring client usage of the system to address potential issues, using dashboards, log files, and other data sources to understand client performance.
Expanding your technical expertise by developing rules and other technical tasks as you become familiar with our clients, products, and ecosystem

Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of related experience
A degree in project management or a related field, or significant experience
Big data experience an advantage
Proven experience as a project manager, leading multiple projects with stakeholder management, scope/status management, project team leadership, scope control, and financial management
Excellent client-facing communication skills and C2 English
Experience handling US corporate clients
Familiarity with one or more PM software tools (e.g., Click to view, Avaza, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar) experience creating Gantt charts or Kanban boards to manage status, dependencies, and assignments in an agile environment
Experience in a business analyst role, documenting requirements, creating recommendations, writing test cases, running UAT testing, and managing improvements
Data manipulation and analysis skills using Excel, Access, PowerBI, SQL, or other BI tools to review, organize, and analyze moderate-sized data sets
Detail-oriented approach to documentation, client communications, and data analysis, with the ability to detect gaps and follow through on tasks to stakeholders’ satisfaction
Proficiency with Windows Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
