We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to lead the development and launch of our new subcategory of affirmational phone covers. This role will involve research, sourcing, logistics, negotiation, and strategy to ensure the highest quality and positive impact of our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in product management, a passion for positive affirmations, and a commitment to responsible sourcing and social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research: Conduct market research to understand demand, analyze competitors, and identify trends.
• Supplier Identification: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers in China to ensure high quality and responsible sourcing.
• Product Development: Work with designers to develop unique and inspiring phone cover designs.
• Logistics and Fulfillment: Manage shipping logistics, including exploring options like Amazon FBA and third-party logistics providers.
• Retail Partnerships: Develop relationships with cell phone retail stores to distribute the products and propose dedicated display sections.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution.
• Growth Strategy: Develop strategies to scale the business, including exploring on-demand production options and expanding retail distribution.

Performance Metrics:

• Speed of Execution: Measure the speed at which tasks and milestones are completed.
• Cost Optimization: Evaluate how effectively hours are managed relative to performance and how milestones are achieved at the most optimal costs.
• Quality of Outcome: Assess the quality of the final products, ensuring they meet our high standards.
• Production, Distribution, and Sales: Drive the production, distribution, and sales of the unique phone covers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in product development or retail.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with logistics and supply chain management.
• Passion for positive affirmations and social impact.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the Chinese market and suppliers is a plus.

General Outline of Strategy:

1. Initiate Market Research:
• Conduct thorough market research to understand demand and analyze competitors.
2. Identify and Evaluate Suppliers:
• Research and shortlist potential suppliers in China.
• Request samples and evaluate quality and sourcing practices.
3. Develop Product Designs:
• Collaborate with designers to create unique, affirmational phone cover designs.
4. Establish Logistics and Fulfillment:
• Explore shipping options, including Amazon FBA and third-party logistics providers.
• Determine minimum order quantities and explore on-demand production.
5. Form Retail Partnerships:
• Identify and approach cell phone retail stores for distribution.
• Propose dedicated display sections for affirmational phone covers.
6. Manage Project Lifecycle:
• Oversee the project from conception to launch, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
7. Develop and Manage Budgets:
• Ensure cost-effective operations and manage budgets effectively.
8. Collaborate with Teams:
• Work with marketing, design, and operations teams for cohesive execution.
9. Scale the Business:
• Develop strategies for scaling, including expanding retail distribution and exploring new markets.
