We are looking for a project manager to be responsible for handling our company’s ongoing projects. You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.
We offer a full-time position in a permanent remote set-up under an Independent Contract for an experienced Project Manager. You will get a rare opportunity to be part of a large furniture company based in Australia.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes.
Initial Project Setup
Convert job estimate/quote into Buildertrend excel import
Job setup in Buildertrend (Project Management Software)
Submitting RFQs to Suppliers
Submitting RFIs to Customers
Facilitating Shop Drawings
Reading Floor plans/verifying product take-off
Confirming Project Terms and issuing Deposit Invoice
Project Executing/Management
Scheduling jobs as per Client Programme (If no programme – create one in partnership with the Client)
Client Communication
regarding specs, finishes, delivery etc
regarding variations
Supplier Communication
regarding product availability/ETA/lead time etc
regarding pricing
regarding efficient logistics (lean management)
Issuing Purchase Orders – with detailed Scope Of Works
Delivery – working closely with Logistics/Installation Supplier to ensure programme is met to 100% quality
Project Closing
Ensuring job complete to quality (defect free)
Collecting Project Documents/Photos from Install Supplier (storing in Job Folder)
Submitting Final Claim/Invoice to client – BUILDERTREND
Assessing Supplier Invoice – approving/rejecting (notifying supplier) payment – BUILDERTREND
Buildertrend Final Job check – PO’s, Invoices, Budget, Margins.
Project de-brief to the Sales Team
Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Project Manager
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a related field.
CAD (not essential but would be an advantage)
Proficient Excel User
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
Experience as a construction project manager or furniture project manager.
Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
