Proofreader / Copy Editor (Work from home opportunity)

Job description
We are looking for a highly proficient proofreader/editor responsible for maintaining the quality of the SEO content we write for our range of clients. We prefer someone from a journalism and communications background, and the candidate must have an extremely high level of attention to detail. Experience writing for Australian audiences for an agency is a plus. We work across multiple different topic areas with strict deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·You will have to:

*Acquire and review content briefs, ensuring alignment with client requirements. Develop and manage brand guides and templates to maintain consistency across all content
*Perform end-to-end content editing, from line edits to comprehensive copy edits, ensuring all content meets Area Ten’s high standards and client specifications
*Provide constructive feedback to copywriters, manage revisions, and update content based on client feedback to refine and perfect deliverables
*Work closely with a team of editors and content creators, sharing insights and strategies to enhance content quality and workflow efficiency
*Help manage our content database, which requires regular upkeep on the progress of content projects across multiple clients

REQUIREMENTS

*Strong background in content editing and proofreading, preferably within a digital agency setting.
*Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for grammatical and stylistic errors. Must be committed to following style guidelines such as the Australian Government Style Manual and the Associated Press Stylebook, 2019.
*Must have a high-speed internet connection and a laptop with high specifications.
*A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
*The resource will also have to experiment with various AI tools and produce quality SEO content for our partner clients. This is a full-time role and involves closely working with the other editors and the rest of the team.

Please note: You will have to complete 1 copy test and 1 proofreading exercise as a part of the interview process.
