Job Description

Full time English/Spanish speaking Leasing Assistant to supplement our management team.

At least 2 years of prior experience in leasing at a residential property is strongly preferred but not required.

Duties include scheduling appointments, showing apartments, describing the features and benefits of the apartments and locations, processing applications, along with office administrative duties. The portfolio consists of just over 200 renovated apartment units located in McAllen, Mission, TX, USA

Hours 9 to 6 Monday to Friday, occasionally you will need to work on Saturdays.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Leasing and/or sales experience in property management or related field a plus
• Team-oriented, dynamic, and dependable
• Confidence in showing and leasing apartments, answering the telephone, and greeting prospective residents in the leasing office
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Resman or Yardi experience is a plus
• High school diploma required, with an Associates or Bachelor degree preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to provide superior service under all circumstances
• Leasing Agent to be full time Monday – Friday and occasional Saturday

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents
• Provide a professional, positive, and engaging experience for prospects while touring the apartment homes and community
• Process applications and lease renewals, and complete all related paperwork accurately and timely
• Proactively manage sales, outreach, and lead generation, converting leads into sales
• Enforce community rules and regulations
• Recognize trends in customer issues and advise management
• Respond to and record all internet leads, prospective calls, and in-person visits
• Conduct property tours with prospects to market the features and benefits of living at our community
• Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and work to achieve 100% occupancy
• Correctly prepare and have a thorough knowledge of all lease-related paperwork
• Secure and process applications, collect deposits and/or fees
• Organize and file appropriate reports, leases and paperwork.
• Assists Property Manager in preparation of daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.
