Job Description

We are a rapidly growing Property Management Company. We are looking to hire another Remote Team Member Bookkeeper

Property Management Bookkeeping Experience is a requirement
Working times are 8:30am-5pm Eastern Standard Time

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare all internal maintenance team members billable invoices
Review previous day transactions from maintenance team and update our invoice tracker
Refill Lowe’s cards for maintenance tech’s
Provide cost analysis of turnover projects to Foreman and Director of Accounting
Match all transactions in our Property Management software with the bank feed
Monthly bank reconciliations in our Property Management software
Post NSF payments to tenants account
Prepare company financial documents
Assist the Director of Accounting with any task that they need help with!

Assist the Director of Accounting with any bookkeeping / tasks as needed. The below are examples of their responsibilities that you could be asked to assist with:

– watch every penny in our Company and ensure accuracy
ECREG Bill Pay
– Ensure all company bills are paid on time and no late payments.
Record Manual Batch Bank Deposits
– Daily deposit all payments to bank, within 24 hours of payment clearing
Bank Trust Accounting
– Oversight of Anequim Trust Accounting Reconciliation. Assist with questions and verify completion.
Payroll
– Ensure Payroll / 401K / Vacation / Sick Time Accuracy and Timeliness
Investor Payouts
– Monthly Investor Payouts on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Drive the Collection of Delinquent Rent
– Collect 95% of all rents due by the last day of each month
Closeout the Monthly Accounting Cycle in Rent Manager
– Accurately Closeout Monthly Accounting Cycle within 5 days of the new month.
Financial Statements & Profit 1st Execution

– Prepare and Present Monthly & YTD Financials to VPO / VPM / PR. P&L, Balance, Cash Flow & Profit 1st

Skills Required:
– Minimum of 3 years experience with bookkeeping
– Property Management accounting experience
– Excellent organizational, time and process management skills
– Exceptional Interpersonal and written communication skills
– Accuracy and attention to detail
– A calm and professional manner
– A flexible and adaptable approach to work
– The ability to use your own initiative
– Comfortable with using multiple software platforms

Experience with the systems below are preferred: Rent Manager, Property Meld, Google Drive, Excel, Lead Simple, Ring Central, HelpScout

Reviews:
90 Day Performance Review & Annual Reviews. Reviews however do not guarantee compensation increases.

Payroll:
Payroll is processed bi-weekly via direct deposit via Wise

Vacation / PTO:
Vacations are earned after the 1st 12 months of employment.
Vacation does not rollover year to year.
Years 1 – 5: Max 2 Weeks
Years 6 – 10: Max 3 Weeks

Holidays:
Full-time employees receive 8 hours holiday pay. Part-Time employees will receive 4 hours of Holiday pay. Our office will be closed on Federal Holiday Schedule for the below holidays:

– January 1st- New Year’s Day
– Memorial Day
– Juneteenth
– July 4th- Independence Day
– Labor Day
– Thanksgiving Day (Thursday)
– December 24th- Christmas Eve
– December 25th- Christmas Day
