– Interpreting MD Orders and Visit Summaries
– Developing Health Care Plans for students
– Attend school team meetings and present medical health information to colleagues and parents
– Follow up tasks on student cases
– Email management with multiple staff members and medical providers
– Creating presentations and documents
– First aid/specialized procedure training
– Consultation
– Documentation
– Other tasks and assignments as directed by your Nurse Coach

You will be provided learning opportunities by shadowing and debriefing cases with the Nurse Coach. You will be given assignments to complete throughout the school year and will be graded on these assignments. Public Health Advocates with higher impact and academic achievement will be preferred for bonuses and US LVN/RN Licensure Sponsorship.

The following expectations, traits, and skills that would be helpful for Public Health Advocates in this position include:

– Motivated self-starter
– Detail-oriented & organized
– Quick to learn
– Able to multitask
– Adaptable

– Very strong skills technologically

– Interested in growth possibilities with a startup company

Your holiday schedule will be dependent on the school district that you are paired with. Your work hours and days will align with the school district that you are assigned to. Most school districts have holidays for Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK Day, President’s Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, and Summer Break. This is a position that will require your attention and presence throughout the day. Factors that inhibit your attention and presence throughout the day will not be tolerated.

We are a start-up company with the intention of keeping kids safe at school and touching a billion people in a positive way.
Because our intention is for the kids, we offer our clients a Fair Price Guarantee where school districts pay us exactly what is in their budget for a school nurse. That way, we’re affordable to everyone and price isn’t the reason students don’t have access to the School Nurse. Because we are still a start-up company and this will be on-the-job training and learning, flexibility and adaptability will be important in the position.
