Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong PR skills, be a wizard with words, and have a knack for creating engaging content that will draw foot traffic to our retail partners. You will be responsible for crafting captivating articles to be published on our website and in local media outlets, highlighting our retailers and the delightfully quirky products they offer.

Success:
As our PR Specialist, you’ll spend your day crafting engaging articles about our retail partners and maintaining a lively web presence via our Shopify platform. You’ll also proactively network and pitch stories to local media outlets. Your success is marked by increased foot traffic to our partner retailers and heightened brand awareness in the market. Your passion for PR, dedication to our clients, and ability to secure media coverage will drive our success.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct interviews with our retail clients to gather material for content creation.
– Writing compelling articles to be published on our website and pitching them to local newspapers, blogs, and other media outlets.
– Designing online content compatible with our Shopify website.
– Building and maintaining relationships with relevant media contacts.
– Devising and implementing innovative marketing plans.
– Tracking performance and making data-driven decisions to ensure the success of our PR efforts.

Skills & Qualifications:

– Proven experience in public relations and content creation.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for creating engaging and compelling stories.
– Strong networking skills and an existing network of media contacts are desirable.
– Proficiency in Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms.
– Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to optimize content accordingly.
– High degree of initiative, able to work independently and take responsibility for all aspects of the role.
– Proven ability to devise and implement effective marketing strategies and to pivot when required.
