Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations and Content Specialist who will be instrumental in driving our client’s narrative through engaging pitches, stories, and content. This role is pivotal in constructing compelling narratives and responding to media inquiries and requests efficiently and effectively through platforms like HARO (Help a Reporter Out).

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management:
– Be the hero between our clients and the media. Responding to emails, setting up sample requests, tracking campaign performance, and following up on outstanding client and media outlet objectives.

Content Creation:
– Develop and write compelling content, including guest posts, articles, blogs, and newsletters that effectively tell our clients’ stories.
– Create engaging and persuasive pitches to garner media attention and secure coverage.

Media Relations:
– Manage and respond to media inquiries through platforms like HARO, ensuring timely and relevant responses.
– Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
– Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients.

Research:
– Conduct thorough research on client industries, company histories, keywords, and relevant topics to ensure accurate and authentic story crafting.
– Stay abreast of industry trends and news to identify opportunities for client coverage and positioning.

Client Coordination:
– Work closely with our team to understand our client and their brand, objectives, and expectations.
– Ensure all content and PR activities align with client goals and messaging.

Administrative Support:
– Organize and maintain media lists, client files, and reporting documents.

Requirements:

– Experience:
– Minimum of 3 experience in copywriting, experience with Public Relations or journalism, with a focus on content creation and media relations.
– Proven track record of writing blogs and engaging content.

– Skills:
– Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
– Robust research abilities and attention to detail.
– Familiarity with utilizing platforms like HARO for media query responses (if not, we will teach you)
– Proficient in using Google Suite and Slack for efficient collaboration and document management.
– Knowledge of PR tools and platforms for media monitoring and reporting (if not, we will teach you).

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

– Proactive and results-driven.
