Position Overview:
The Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in managing the procurement activities of the company. Reporting directly to the COO, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for our operations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record of cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
Identify potential suppliers, conduct thorough evaluations, and negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while continually seeking opportunities to expand the supplier base and improve supplier performance.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track procurement performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to optimize performance and promote professional development.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a managerial or leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team building, coaching, and developing talent.
