We are seeking a highly experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee our team of Virtual Assistants (VAs) who are tasked with sourcing products for our Amazon FBA business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online retail, especially Amazon’s marketplace, and possess the ability to train and grow a team of VAs in identifying high-potential products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for market trends, pricing strategies, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development: Train and manage a team of VAs in sourcing strategies, ensuring they are adept at finding products that align with our business goals. Regularly assess their performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

Market Analysis and Product Selection: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trending products with high sales potential on Amazon. Evaluate products based on criteria such as profitability, competition, demand, and supplier reliability.

Supplier Relations and Negotiation: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate purchase terms, including pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules, to maximize profitability and ensure a steady supply of products.

Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure all sourced products meet Amazon’s quality standards and compliance requirements. Implement a rigorous vetting process for new suppliers and products.

Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory lifecycle, from procurement to Amazon FBA logistics. Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize overstock or stockouts.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to track VA performance, product profitability, market trends, and other key metrics. Prepare regular reports to inform business decisions.

Process Improvement: Continuously refine sourcing processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in online retail and Amazon FBA operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in product sourcing for online retail, preferably with Amazon FBA.
Proven track record of managing and growing a team, preferably in a remote or virtual environment.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in market research and data analysis.
Proficient in using e-commerce tools and platforms, data analytics software, and MS Office.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
