Purchasing Specialist

a Purchasing Specialist.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Purchasing Specialist to join our purchasing department. This remote
position requires a high level of proficiency in Excel and Microsoft software, as well as strong
organizational and analytical skills. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining
stock levels, placing orders for on-demand products, and generating accurate reports on key
purchasing figures.

Responsibilities:
? Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
? Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine stock requirements and forecast
demand.
? Place purchase orders for on-demand products with approved suppliers.
? Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality of products received.
? Prepare and analyse reports on purchasing data, including stock levels, order status, and
cost analysis.
? Identify and implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and
effectiveness.
? Coordinate with other departments, such as operations and finance, to ensure smooth order
fulfillment and accurate financial records.
? Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities.

Requirements:
? Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
? Knowledge of the Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.
? Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate data
effectively.
? Solid understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and supply chain
principles.
? Strong communication skills.
? Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
? Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
? Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
? Familiarity with the security door and screen industry or related industries is a plus.
Education and Qualifications:

? Previous experience in purchasing or inventory management is highly desirable.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is essential.
