The Role

As a QA Automation Engineer at Desygner, you will work closely with Desygner’s development and QA teams to increase our automated test coverage and introduce new methods of assuring product quality. You will play an active role in defining and implementing test scenarios that would assist the whole team in making our products better.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring new and existing features meet their specified requirements.
Breaking things, finding problems, and making sure it doesn’t happen again.
Designing test scenarios, scripts, or procedures that fit with the concepts of test automation and continuous delivery.
Helping define and manage our testing processes by creating resilient automated test suites to exercise with Continuous Integration tools.
Participating in the team’s agile planning to deliver processes and support production deployments.
Continuing to learn and improve on testing automation.

Required Skills

The perfect candidate would have experience with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity), testing tools (Selenide or equivalent testing framework using Selenium. Some of Mocha, Puppeteer, Cypress), and preferred programming skills in either Java, C, or JavaScript.
Experience working in an automated test environment.
Ability to write complex UI and API testing setups that allow for growth of test coverage that goes into hundreds of test cases.
Experience in REST Assured or postman .
Experience in optimising test execution for speed.
At least 1 year of relevant Automated Web Testing.
Experience automating tests for web services, web clients, and APIs.
Ability to describe, delegate, and execute manual tests.
Experience in the usage of test reporting frameworks.
Strong communication skills to report bugs and understand clients’ needs.
Ability to track down the root cause of defects using debugging tools.

Desired Skills

Familiar with the release cycle, process, and flow concepts.
Experience in troubleshooting on all major web browsers.
Basic understanding of TDD and BDD.
