You focus on the long-term and will sacrifice immediate rewards for long-term sustainable results.
You learn what works on a basic scale before trying to scale and build systems.
You have a ‘do it right the first time’ mindset. You know when short cuts will compound into much higher costs in the long term.
You take pride in the quality of your work. You know the team and our clients are depending on you to keep our website functional and user experience immaculate.
Fairness matters more than profit to you. In fact, your integrity is worth far more than any amount of money.
Working hard on a team towards a common goal is inherently motivating. You want to work with an amazing team and be an energetic contributor.
Diligent Operational Security discipline and immaculate attention to detail on matters of digital security.

Required Skills:

mysql / Ruby / Rails
Selenium
Data entry and data management

Excellent communication skills

What you will do:
The website can never go down. Not for a second. You will be part of making sure the website never goes down.
You’ll take complete ownership of our release/quality assurance process.
You will create test plans with little to no direction, and make sure they are executed perfectly.
You’ll write functional tests and other automations using Selenium/Ruby dedicated to saving everyone time, including yourself.
You’ll investigate, replicate, describe and outline to resolve bugs, issues, and defects.
You’ll perform repetitive data entry and server management tasks. You’ll complete these tasks and while doing so automate them.
You must have basic Ruby scripting ability. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, SQL and bash scripting are a good plus.
Perform various other daily duties to assist in the flawless operation of our business outside of the scope of QA with enthusiasm and a smile. These tasks can range from technical writing to data entry, from rudimentary graphic design to feature testing. You must be a team player and be willing to step outside your box to assist in our overall success.
If you are interested in developing the skills to become a full stack developer, it’s a major plus.

Why are we hiring?
Our purpose is to see how much good we can do. Increasing the capabilities of our team is required to do that.

Where, how, and when are you required to work?
You can be anywhere in the world as long as you can reliably work on the schedule you commit to. You can take as much unpaid time off as you want as long as it’s coordinated with your manager.
