QA Tester

We are looking for a highly skilled QA tester to work with our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to use their expertise and talent on existing and new projects.

We are a software company, specializing in software solutions for businesses that manage bookings and classes in the sports and leisure industries. We have been successfully operating for the past 15 years and are now seeking a committed, energetic and highly motivated individual to join our development team.

About the job
– Design and implement testing strategies and plans for our software products.
– Develop and maintain test scripts.
– Be involved in the entire software lifecycle and provide inputs from your unique point of view as a QA.
– Develop & implement standard quality methodology to include guidelines, policies and procedures.
– Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to identify and report software defects and inconsistencies.
– Collaborate with the development team to identify areas for improvement in test coverage.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth release cycles and timely delivery of high-quality products.
– Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing methodologies.
– Test software before it is released to clients.

About you
– 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
– Experience with app web/mobile, web app testing and desktop apps.
– You are proactive and have the initiative to work without supervision.
– You have great attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
– Test planning, test case creation, and test execution experience.
– UI testing experience, preferably in mobile and/or web application projects.
– Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
– Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, remote work environment.
– Good interpersonal and English communication skills.

The candidate will work remotely and be liaising with staff in Melbourne, Australia, so will be willing to work within Australian standard eastern time. The job will require the candidate to work 40hrs/week. Please note that this is not a freelancing role / project.
