Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that software products and applications meet quality standards and user requirements. The QA Analyst works closely with the development team to identify, isolate, and report defects, and ensures that these are resolved before product release. They are also responsible for creating test plans, test cases, and executing test scripts to ensure that the product is of high quality.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on user requirements and product specifications
– Collaborate with the development team to identify, isolate, and report defects, and verify that these are resolved before product release
– Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that software products are designed and coded for testability
– Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts
– Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
– Conduct manual and automated testing, as necessary, to validate product quality
– Analyze and report on test results, including defect reports, test execution reports, and test coverage reports
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software products meet customer requirements and quality standards
– Continuously improve the QA process, including tools, techniques, and methodologies

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics)
– 2+ years of experience in software testing or a related field
– Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and tools
– Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
– Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, such as Jira or HP ALM
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
– Ability to work independently and within a team
