Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Online Virtual Assistant with experience in quantity surveying to support our team at Bison Construction Ltd. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with our dynamic team of construction professionals.

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and other associated costs.

Quantity Takeoffs: Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications to determine the quantities of materials required for projects.

Budget Management: Support in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

Tendering Process: Assist in the tendering process by preparing and reviewing tender documents, analyzing bids, and providing recommendations to management.

Contract Administration: Aid in the administration of construction contracts, including reviewing contract terms, preparing payment applications, and managing variations and change orders.

Cost Reporting: Generate timely and accurate cost reports, financial forecasts, and progress assessments to inform project stakeholders and support decision-making.

Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties related to project costs, and collaborate with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the construction industry.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
UK-based with eligibility to work remotely and availability for virtual meetings and collaboration.
