QuickBooks Bookkeeper

You’ll need to have experience with QuickBooks online. And be familiar with Shopify + the “Profit First” method.

The Bookkeeper oversees the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Bookkeeper performs daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries and reconciliation, and record payments and adjustments.

Job Description/Expectations
– Accurate categorization of transactions.
– Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensures legal requirements compliance
– Enters financial transactions by using a chart of accounts and following bookkeeping policies and procedures
– Maintains company’s accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
– Balances company’s accounts by reconciling entries
– Maintains general ledger
– Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries
– Maintains historical records by filing documents
– Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
– Enforces adherence to requirements
– Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
– Perform other admin or accounting tasks as required

Needed Skills/Qualifications
– Accountancy or financial management graduate or equivalent experience (preferred but not required)
– 1 to 2 years of financial management and bookkeeping/accounting experience with a US-based company required.
– 2+ years of QuickBooks experience
– Strong English speaking and writing communications skills
– Exceptional organizational and planning skills
– Superior project management and time management skills
– Internet/web navigation/ strong computer skills
– Good CRM skills
– A knowledge of standard software packages, especially Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
– Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
– Follows instructions clearly and accurately within a timely fashion
– Enthusiastic about delivering positive results
– Distraction-free workspace
– Working computer (preferably with a minimum of 8GB RAM, an i3 Intel Core Processor, or its equivalent) and a backup computer
– Fast, stable internet (minimum dedicated 20mbps-download/upload) and a backup internet connection
– Good headset (preferably with noise canceling feature)
– Clear webcam
– Experience working with Shopify (preferred but not required)
