Are you a skilled QuickBooks Online Bookkeeper with knowledge of maintaining stock trading ledgers and research looking to grow your skills and work for a Canadian company?
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, specifically with QuickBooks Online, and experience working in the Technology Consulting and Coaching industry would be an asset.
You are a highly motivated self-starter with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. You have excellent people and communication skills to work with clients and teams confidently.
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our company, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general and stock trading ledger. You will handle a wide range of bookkeeping tasks with precision and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sending a daily report detailing completed and ongoing tasks.
• Preparing or reviewing financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Issue invoices and send emails to clients, and track payments.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank statements, trading statements, credit card statements, and other financial reports.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including billing and collections.
• Knowledge of basic Canadian tax types, GST / HST an asset.
• Knowledge of stocks and stock research is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SET:
• Must be responsible, organized and have great communication skills.
• A high level of discretion, ethics, and trustworthiness.
• A minimum of 2 years of accounting and QuickBooks Online experience is required.
• QuickBooks Certified is an asset.
• Microsoft Office, Excel, and SharePoint experience required.
• Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing).
• Willingness to learn, grow and collaborate.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write and or speak confidently and professionally if required.
• Must possess excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Superior attention to detail is critical for this role.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
WORK SCHEDULE/ WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT/ SETUP REQUIREMENTS:
• Part-Time, 10 hours a month, average 2 hours a week.
• Be available between the hours of 9 to 12 Toronto Time.
• Have a video camera and reliable internet access for clear audio and video.
