Job Description

We are a small IT company in Canada. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our small team. If you are skilled in QuickBooks Desktop, Accounting, Bookkeeping and Microsoft Excel, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

-Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to process payroll, invoices, and perform reconciliation of balance sheet accurately and in a timely manner.
-Proficiently use Microsoft Excel to create, maintain, and analyze financial reports and data. (Must know how to use formulas such as index, vlookup, countif, and if statements)
-Reconcile bank records with vendor bills to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records using Accounting software such as Dext or using Excel.
-Processing invoices on Dext platform.
-Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, maintaining precision and attention to detail.
-Manage bookkeeping activities to keep financial records organized and up-to-date.
-Generate and send invoices to clients, ensuring all necessary information is included and accurate.
-Collaborate with team members to gather and input financial data into various systems.
-Assist with general administrative tasks, utilizing Microsoft 365 for communication and document management.
-Collaborate with the finance team to develop comprehensive financial reports using Excel.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with QuickBooks Desktop is required with strong Quickbooks Desktop background.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create dynamic formulas, pivot tables, and graphs.
Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
Remote access via VPN to work is required
Strong analytical skills and the ability to generate meaningful insights from financial data.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Previous experience in report development using Excel is a plus.
