Quotation Specialist – (Fully Remote – Home Office Based)
We are seeking a Quotation Specialist to join our team!

About Us: FCM Products provides a large selection of network cables and connectors, transceivers, and telecommunications materials to clients all over the world.

Overview:
The Quotation Specialist prepares accurate quotes for pricing and builds estimates for customers by gathering information and analyzing materials availability from current vendors and historical sales data. Possessing strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset, they will create detailed quotes using current ERP system (NetSuite) and create part numbers and descriptions as needed. The Quotation Specialist will report to the Sales Team Lead.
You will be lifeblood of our business. Transactional quote volume during the day rises and falls, as customers send RFQs via email to see if we can provide the materials they need in a reasonable time frame. Your job is to help these customers by answering the quotes as quickly and accurately as possible, therefore giving them the ability to go out and win the business.
As part of a team, you must be detail oriented, proactive, focused, and understanding of customer needs. You must be able to work with others and not get stuck in the weeds. If you don’t know how to do something, don’t delay and don’t be afraid to ask. You must be able to understand what the customer needs and turn quotes around as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities:
• Consistently demonstrates superior customer service by combining system knowledge, sales, product, and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.
• Builds estimates (or quotes), and prices standard and special products at a level that keeps our products competitive and maximizes profit.
• Works together with other team members, (i.e., sales, operations, tech) as needed to ensure accurate quotes and lead times.
• Follows up on quotations and modifies quotes as necessary to win more business for the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• BS/BA in engineering, telecommunications a plus.
• Good Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Having functional competence and a basic understanding of network technology or telecommunications a plus.
• Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where the priority is to answer the quotes on time and with 100?curacy.
• Familiarity with margin and sales principles
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames.
• Able to identify problems and offer alternative solutions and/or courses of action based on available resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and external customers through multiple means such as email and telephone.
• Ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
