Job Description

Note: be sure you read this entire posting and follow the instructions, otherwise, I won’t even look at your application.

Hi there!

My name is Ryan. I’m a North American entrepreneur. I’m looking for a part time (to start) virtual assistant/email assistant/bookkeeper. I include “bookkeeper” as I’m looking for someone who has some financial knowledge, in addition to the regular virtual assistant duties. I am an honest business owner, who works hard, plays hard (I like to be active outdoors). I am looking for someone who works hard, takes pride in their work, is detail oriented, and proficient in their work. I’m not looking for someone fresh out of school, looking to gain experience, or someone who is looking to become a VA, but rather someone who has done this before). If this sounds like something that is a good fit for you, keep reading.

The job has the following duties:

– Daily email processing (read every email, respond to some, file some, and ask for help/forward to me when my involvement is required). The email system is similar to gmail—you should be an expert with gmail.
– Filing invoices and receipts in a Google Drive type system using a specific naming format, in the right locations. Some invoices require logging in to websites to download, before saving to the correct spot. You should be an expert with Google Drive (and its apps like sheets).
– Help to pay bills where required (occasional, maybe a few times a month). You should have a good understanding of financial terms like debit, credit, credit card, bank account, PAD, invoice vs receipt, and a basic understanding of bookkeeping.
– Manage scheduling workers using a spreadsheet (similar to Google Sheets). You should be pretty proficient in Google Sheets.
– Manage my calendar (you should be an expert in Google Calendar).

If this sounds like something that is a good fit for you, keep reading.

Most emails are related to real-estate (commercial and residential) and most invoices that need to be filed are related to these properties. Finance/bookkeeping knowledge is an asset, but not necessary, however you must be a quick typer, have excellent communication skills (especially in writing) and you must be very detail-oriented in your work.

You should type pretty fast (min 65wpm, faster is better, take this online typing test and send me your typing speed: /typingtest/). Your english (written and spoken) should be excellent (I want it to be easy to work together). If applying, please include your DISC scores. To save everyone time, please see this profile to note what I am generally expecting in a successful candidate and what I’m looking for: /virtual-assistant-disc-profile (note that SC are high, but DI are low—this doesn’t mean that you won’t be a good VA if you don’t match this profile, but this is what I’m looking for in this particular job, to ensure everyone is successful!

This job has the potential to grow in responsibility and could potentially become part time.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Ryan
