Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and take charge of financial management for multiple real estate and construction companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and exceptional proficiency in accounting, payroll, and financial reporting in the real estate space. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial records for six companies, handling various financial transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Management:
Oversee and manage the accounts for six companies.
Perform monthly accounts reconciliation to ensure accuracy.

Payroll:
Process employee payroll twice a month.

Financial Transactions:
Handle Mileage Reimbursements.
Prepare 1099s for Subcontractors and Lenders.

Financial Reporting:
Manage scorecard/company performance.
Track and report Return on Investment (ROI) and Budgets.

Real Estate Transactions:
Track Earnest Money Deposits (EMDs).
Enter Purchase and Sales HUDs (Housing and Urban Development statements).

Construction Draws and Fees:
Track and Request Construction Draws, Admin Fees, Equity, and ROI percentages.

Subcontractor Management:
Manage subcontractors, including obtaining W-9 forms and insurance documentation.
Preparation and Submission of annual 1099 forms

Loan Management:
Send loan requests to Private and Hard Money Lenders.
Manage Lender Interest payments.
Identifying ideal loans for each project.
Tracking loan expiration dates and payoffs.

Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow for all companies.

Budget Oversight:
Manage purchases, sales, and budgets.
Banking Operations:
Implement and manage Positive Pay banking procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred, not required).
Minimum of 3 years of Real Estate Bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software QBO and MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
