Our company, Haystack Land Company, is a small, fast growing family real estate investment company that buys, sells and develops land in multiple states across the United States. How do we find the land we buy? We contact a LOT of landowners by mailing, texting and calling – looking for people who don’t want their land anymore and need a solution to get rid of it fast and with as little effort as possible.
We are looking for a resourceful, highly motivated analytical and technical minded person to join our team as a part time Property Data Analyst, ideally growing into a full time role over the next 12 months. We’re looking for someone who’s interested in being part of a growing team and building an amazing company culture.
You will lead the effort to identify new target markets, select the people to contact about purchasing their properties, conducting quality checks to ensure our data is correct and that it flows into the right systems.
While we’d train you on how to do the basics of the job, we’re looking for someone who is resourceful, a self starter, and can deal with ambiguity and figure things out. Above all else, this person needs to have integrity, have a great attitude and enjoy learning new things. You need to have lots of “technical savvy” – and be able to use technology (like Excel, web based applications, even AI tools likeChatGPT) to solve problems and help you get things done.
The hours will vary, and be around 20-30 hours a week, ideally increasing up to 40+ in the coming months.

Main Responsibilities:
– Export data from our real estate property data software
– Scrub data that comes back from our algorithm to check it for accuracy using Microsoft Excel
– Organize, coordinate and schedule marketing campaigns using this data, confirming all the data is merged correctly
– Identify metrics (KPIs, or key performance indicators) to identify the success
– Identify ways we can improve upon our system to better identify owners who will be open to selling
– Identify the metrics for us to identify new markets, and execute this process to select new markets
– Organize existing leads through all platforms
Who you are:
– You must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to work at least 4-5 hours anytime Monday through Friday during the hours of 9PM to 8AM GMT+8 Manilla time (7AM to 6PM Central Standard time)
– You’re resourceful. You’ve got a knack for figuring things out.
– You have a good PC or Mac that has plenty of computing power/memory for large (often 30MB+) spreadsheets
– You love to learn and have an interest in learning about real estate.
– You’re process oriented and are okay with, at times, doing repeated tasks that may seem monotonous
– You’re looking for a place where you can grow and stay long term. We have bonuses after 90, including profit sharing.
– You must be able to take direction and run with it without needing handholding
– You must be able to give feedback… What’s working? What’s not? How can we improve our process?
– You must be reliable. If you say you will do something, it will get done.
– Important: You value the truth and integrity, and are unwilling to compromise on this (even if it means telling your manager “no”)
Compensation:
– Pay will depend on skill level.
– You’ll be expected to work 20+ hours a week
– Compensation will be based on an hourly rate with the potential for bonus after 90 days.
