Job Title: REAL ESTATE | Senior Financial Manager
Location: Remote – FULL TIME TBD – PST

as our Senior Financial Manager, where you will play a critical role in the management and operation of our accounting department. Reporting directly to the COO, this position is designed for a leader who excels in financial management and accounting operations without direct involvement in financial approvals, which are managed by the CFO. Your focus will be on maintaining robust financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency within the financial reporting and operational accounting realms.

Assist in daily operations of the accounting department, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining alignment with GAAP.
Assist in development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports in a timely manner; identify trends, advise company on financial health, and support strategic planning efforts.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and manage relationships with external auditors and financial stakeholders.
Support budget and forecast preparation activities and collaborate with department heads to optimize financial planning and cost management.
Manage cash flow, oversee bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting.
Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, including automation and process enhancements.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a real estate or financial services context.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing diverse tasks and projects.
Proficiency with accounting software, Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
