Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as a Virtual Medical Receptionist with a flair for lead generation and experience in medical billing. This remote position offers the opportunity to showcase your skills in virtual assistance, medical billing, and lead generation, playing a pivotal role in the success of our medical practice..

Responsibilities:

1. Manage virtual reception duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and scheduling appointments using online platforms
2. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers in a virtual environment
3. Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical insurance claims accurately
4. Handle medical billing tasks, including coding and billing procedures, using electronic billing software (experience with ECW is preferred but not required)
5. Conduct lead generation activities to attract new patients and healthcare providers to the practice, utilizing various channels such as social media, email marketing, and targeted outreach
6. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations (HIPAA)
7. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency
8. Assist with other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or virtual assistant in a healthcare setting
2. Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, including CPT and ICD coding
3. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software (experience with ECW is a plus)
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote environment
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and billing tasks
7. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with healthcare regulations
8. Experience in lead generation or customer acquisition, preferably in a healthcare or related field.
9. Demonstrated creativity and initiative in developing and implementing lead generation strategies.
