We are a fast-growing IRS Tax Controversy law firm seeking a Receptionist/Legal Assistant. We help small businesses and individuals solve their IRS tax problems. The Receptionist/Legal Assistant provides a positive and professional first impression of the firm, answers the phone, screens calls, schedules client meetings, orders supplies, collects and scans the mail, and scans client documents. This person will build relationships with our former, current, and potential new clients on the telephone, via email and text, and in person when they visit our office.

The Receptionist/Legal Assistant will:
• Conduct intake calls for potential clients, gathering necessary information and scheduling consultations with the lead attorney.
• Stay in contact with PNCs who do not retain us after their initial consultation to keep the door open for them to retain us when they are ready.
• Maintain accurate records to track the number of potential new clients who contact our firm, the number who meet with us for initial consultations, and the number who engage our firm.
• Prepare new engagement letters and powers of attorney, ensure that prospective clients receive the engagement agreement and power of attorney forms and that they sign them and return them to the Firm.
• Onboard new clients by sending Canopy invitations, surveys, client questionnaires, and welcome packets to facilitate a smooth transition and engagement.

We are also looking for someone with above-average ability to learn and adapt as our business grows and takes on new dimensions.
The successful applicant will possess two to five years of experience in a law firm or office environment and/or have had advanced training at a college or university. He or she will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Lawmatics and/or Canopy is a plus.
This position will start as part-time with the expectation that it will become full-time (40 hours per week) in the future.
