Job Overview
We’re looking for a Talent Sourcing VA who is passionate about diversity and inclusion, understands the unique needs and strengths of neurodivergent individuals, and is committed to helping them find the right job opportunities. Your role will involve sourcing candidates, developing recruiting strategies, improving our platform, establishing best practices for neuroinclusive recruiting, providing candidate guidance, and engaging with our candidate community.
How You’ll Make an Impact
– Deeply understand the job description from what the employer posts and what types of candidates the employer is looking for
– Source candidates through creative strategies i.e. Facebook groups, LinkedIn Recruiter, web portals (both paid and non-paid), job postings, personal references, candidate’s references, and social networking sites.
– Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness in terms of skills, experience, and knowledge related to the position requirements.
– Demonstrate empathy, understanding and respectful communication when interacting with members of the neurodivergent population and supporting them in their job search journey, self-advocacy tips, career path advice, and more.
Ideal Skills
1. Recruitment Skills: Proven experience in talent acquisition and headhunting is crucial for this role, ideally for technology talent. Ideally with a background in LinkedIn Recruiting. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and internet-based job boards is important.
2. Sourcing and Screening: Expertise in sourcing profiles from various platforms and screening resumes for current hiring needs.
3. Technology Savvy: Quick learner on using the Mentra platform, Notion and proficient in posting jobs on social networking sites like LinkedIn, Facebook (neurodivergent job seekers are preferred).
6. Candidate Interaction: Experience in interacting with candidates, evaluating their job stability and reasons for career change, and checking their availability.
