Maid My Day is a Cleaning Company operating across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra within Australia. We service the Australian Aged Care Industry by having our workers provide cleaning services for the elderly who still live in their homes. We have been operating for 16 years and we have approximately 200 cleaners working for our company.
– The Role –
Recruitment Consultant Role
We are looking for a competent Recruitment Consultant tasked with finding the best cleaners for our Aged Care clients.
We currently have 14 full-time VAs who work from their homes in the Philippines and your role is to work alongside them.
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will work on attracting the best cleaner candidates, screening them, and inducting them for the job. In the future, this role may also include creating recruiting strategies and building relationships with job agency partners.
Recruitment consultants have the skills of salespeople and headhunters. They possess sound judgment and communication aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with the Scheduling Team and Cleaner Managers to understand the cleaning service needs and recruit suitable candidates to fulfill those needs.
2. Screen applicants, and interview potential candidates for cleaning positions.
3. Manage and update the recruitment calendar and Recruitment reports
4. Induct the successful candidates and provide all the necessary information they need to get them ready for the job.
5. Provide constant follow-up, guidance, and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
6. Conduct reference checks and background screenings on potential candidates through their job agencies and by checking their documents.
7. Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including collection of requirements and administering the Licence to Clean training.
8. Stay updated on company guidelines and best practices in cleaning services.
Skills and Experiences Required:
1. 5 years of experience as a Recruitment Consultant or in a similar role, such as a Virtual Assistant.
2. Familiarity with recruitment techniques.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment.
5. Having a knowledge of employment laws in AU and regulations related to recruiting cleaners is preferable but not required.
6. Having a positive and helpful attitude is essential.
7. Being part of a tight-knit team, you will feel comfortable taking responsibility for your work and being held accountable for meeting your KPIs.
8. Having experience with cloud-based software and websites, such as Google software and Microsoft Outlook, is beneficial so that you can hit the ground running.
We are looking for an individual who will be with us for a long period of time and who’ll be able to help us with the next stage of our company’s journey.
