Job Description

Are you a horror fan who loves to explore dark and twisted stories on Reddit? Do you have a keen eye for quality and originality in storytelling? Do you have excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with the authors and obtain their consent? If yes, then this job is for you!

As a Reddit Horror Story Researcher, you will be responsible for:

• Browsing various subreddits, such as r/nosleep, r/LetsNotMeet, r/shortscarystories, and more, to find stories that are well-written, original, and spine-chilling.

• Evaluating the stories based on criteria such as upvotes, comments, awards, feedback, length, genre, and theme.

• Checking the profiles of the authors to see if they have more stories or other works that we can use.

• Contacting the authors and asking for their permission to use their stories in our youtube videos. You will keep track of this in a spreadsheet.

• Organizing the stories into categories according to their themes.

• Collaborating with the video production team to ensure the quality and accuracy of the video content.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong passion and knowledge of horror literature and culture.

• A high level of familiarity and proficiency with Reddit and its features, rules, and etiquette.

• A good sense of judgment and taste in selecting stories that are suitable for your purpose and audience.

• A high level of creativity and innovation in finding new sources and ways of discovering stories on Reddit.

• A high level of professionalism and ethics in dealing with the authors and respecting their intellectual property.

• A high level of communication and negotiation skills to establish rapport and trust with the authors and persuade them to grant you permission.

• A high level of organization and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver results.
