Job Description

As a Reductions Specialist for our personal injury firm, you will play a critical role in maximizing the financial recovery for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and negotiate reductions in medical bills, liens, and other claims to ensure that our clients receive the highest possible settlement or judgment amount. This is a remote position that requires strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of medical billing and lien resolution processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Bill Review:
Review and analyze medical bills, insurance claims, and liens related to personal injury cases.
Verify the accuracy of medical billing codes and charges.
Negotiation and Reductions:
Negotiate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and lien holders to secure reductions in medical bills, liens, and other claims.
Utilize legal and industry knowledge to advocate for favorable settlements and reductions.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and detailed records of all negotiations, reductions, and agreements.
Ensure all reductions are properly documented and submitted for approval.
Client Communication:
Communicate with clients to explain the reductions process and keep them informed of progress.
Provide clear and timely updates regarding reductions achieved.
Legal Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with federal and state laws and regulations related to medical billing, liens, and reductions.
Ensure all reductions are obtained in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support overall case strategies.
Provide expertise and guidance on reductions-related matters.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in reductions or medical billing negotiations within a personal injury law firm is highly desirable.
– Strong understanding of medical billing codes and healthcare reimbursement processes.
– Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
– Familiarity with relevant software and tools for document management and communication.
