REEL Video Editor

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and proficient REEL Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw podcast recordings into engaging and viral REEL videos. Your primary task will involve chopping up podcast episodes into key sections, integrating B-roll, adding dynamic effects, and editing content that resonates with our audience and enhances our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Podcast Editing: Listen to and segment podcast episodes into compelling shorter sections that capture the essence and most engaging parts of the conversation.
B-Roll Integration: Skillfully weave in relevant B-roll footage to create a visually engaging narrative and add context to the audio content.
Effects and Transitions: Utilize creative effects, transitions, and text overlays to enhance the storytelling and maintain viewer interest throughout the video.
Viral Content Creation: Edit and package videos in a way that is optimized for virality, understanding the trends and tactics that resonate with the audience on social media platforms.
Volume and Consistency: Produce 5-10 polished videos per week, each under 60 seconds, maintaining a consistent style and quality that aligns with our brand’s voice and vision.
Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with the content team to iterate on feedback and continuously improve the quality and impact of the videos.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a video editor with a portfolio showcasing your work on short-form content, particularly REELs or similar formats.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
A strong understanding of social media trends and what makes content shareable and viral.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative thinking and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
