We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with strong bookkeeping skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Google Workspace, possess excellent bookkeeping capabilities, and have experience in efficient managing business operational duties. This role requires a proactive individual who can multitask effectively, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties to facilitate financial management within the company.
*Responsibilities
– Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, bill payments accurately and timely in ZOHO;
– Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data;
– Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee timesheet records and run the biweekly payroll;
– Assist in payroll processing, including verifying timesheets, updating payroll records, and addressing payroll inquiries;
– Handle ad-hoc payments, as needed;
– Generate reports for management review;
– Respond to emails promptly and professionally;
– Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the business;
– Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.
*Remote Collaboration:
– Collaborate effectively with various departments or teams through virtual meetings and communication tools.
– Facilitate remote cross-functional discussions to align on process improvements and project assignments.
*Qualifications
– Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, with remote work capabilities, executive assistant experiences as an asset.
– Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
– Strong organizational and time-management skills.
– Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Proficiency in email management and communication.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Relevant certifications or education in accounting or finance is a plus.
