Job Description

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Remote Assistant – Procurement Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our procurement processes, ensuring cost-efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards in the acquisition of goods and services. If you excel in procurement strategy, supplier management, and can work effectively in a remote capacity, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy:
– Develop and implement remote procurement strategies aligned with company goals, including sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
– Evaluate and select suppliers and manage vendor relationships virtually.

• Purchase Management:
– Virtually oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitions.
– Review and approve purchase orders and procurement requests.

• Cost Control:
– Monitor and analyze remote procurement expenses.
– Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality.

• Supplier Management:
– Communication with vendors.
– Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and optimize partnerships.
– Coordinate functions like production, shipping and logistics.

• Quality Assurance:
– Ensure purchased items meet quality standards by implementing virtual quality control measures.
– Handle any quality-related issues with suppliers remotely.

• Documentation and Reporting:
– Work docket creation.
– Maintain organized records of procurement activities and invoices.
– Generate reports.

• Remote Collaboration:
– Collaborate effectively with various departments or teams through virtual meetings and communication tools.
– Facilitate remote cross-functional discussions to align on process improvements and project assignments.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar procurement role, with remote work capabilities, executive assistant experiences as an asset.
– Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, supplier evaluation.
– Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Excellent virtual communication and negotiation skills.
– Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
