We are expanding our team and seeking a diligent and experienced Benefits Verification Specialist to join our remote workforce based in the Philippines.
Job Summary: The Benefits Verification Specialist will be responsible for contacting insurance providers to verify patient coverage for medical equipment and supplies. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contact insurance companies via phone or online portals to verify patients’ benefits and coverage for DME.
• Accurately interpret and document the insurance coverage and patient responsibility based on the verification process.
• Communicate with our billing and front office departments to ensure accurate billing and patient information.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients when addressing their benefits inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of different insurance plans and requirements regarding medical equipment coverage.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in benefits verification, insurance, or a similar role within the healthcare industry.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A stable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
Education:
• A degree or diploma in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field is preferred.
Work Hours:
