Remote Cost Controller

Position Overview:
We are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Cost Controller team. As a Remote Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs to ensure effective budget management and financial success. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in optimizing resource allocation and cost-efficiency across our mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to develop detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
• Raise PR/POs and follow up the approval flow process
• Reviews in detail contractors/ consultants Work Payment Certificates and produce analytical reports for the approvers.
• Review and approve project expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Monitor project expenditures and variances, identifying potential cost overruns and areas for cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze cost trends and provide recommendations to improve project cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records related to project costs and expenses.
• Prepare regular cost reports and dashboards for project stakeholders and management.
• Participate in project reviews and provide insights on cost-related matters to aid decision-making.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize supplier contracts and negotiate favorable terms.
• Provide accurate cost reporting on weekly/ monthly basis
• Assist in developing standardized cost control processes and best practices.
• Interface with Finance Team
• Support to development of budget
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a cost controller, financial analyst, or related role in project-based industries, ideally in mining.
• Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
