In this role, you will take a pivotal part in our project to modernize and optimize our data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our reporting capabilities. You will be responsible for collaborating with our cross-functional team to gather and understand requirements, design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, and assist with ensuring a smooth transition to the new reporting platform. Your ability to work collaboratively, analyze data effectively, and report on the project progress during daily scrum meetings will be essential for success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Power BI Integration
Collaborate with data analysts to integrate Power BI into data workflows, enabling the creation of interactive and insightful dashboards and reports.
Data Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize reporting requirements. Analyze data sources to extract relevant information for reporting purposes.
Data Pipeline Development
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse.
Data Transformation
Implement data transformation processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with business requirements.
Data Modeling
Create and optimize data models for reporting and analytics purposes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Performance Optimization
Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance to ensure data availability and reliability.
Quality Assurance
Conduct testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
Documentation
Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and configurations. Facilitate knowledge transfer to team members.
Continuous Improvement
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance reporting capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in data analysis, ETL development, and data integration.
Experience in data analysis and visualization using Power BI.
SQL proficiency for data manipulation and analysis.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
