Job Title: Remote Department Manager
We are in search of a diligent, detail oriented, department manager. You will be managing our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You do not need direct fleet management experience, but you must have managerial experience and the willingness to learn DOT specific rules and regulations. Relatable experience might be as a project manager, an accounting or HR manager, operations manager, etc.
As the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will be joining a dynamic team at Tri-State Tree Service. This vital role encompasses the oversight of DOT compliance and the management of our fleet’s maintenance programs. We’re looking for a dedicated professional who can ensure our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
DOT Compliance:
– Oversee and maintain Motor Vehicle Records (MVR’s) for all drivers.
– Manage and coordinate random drug testing programs in compliance with DOT regulations.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records for all vehicles and equipment.
– Schedule and ensure timely completion of annual vehicle inspections.
– Review Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and require photos for documentation.
– Handle annual renewals of vehicle registrations and other necessary documents.
– Monitor driver logs for compliance with applicable regulations.

Preventative Maintenance:
– Coordinate with mechanics and schedule regular maintenance to prevent mechanical failures.
– Maintain detailed records of vehicle and equipment maintenance activities.
– Track inventory, Order parts and conduct research to ensure we get the best pricing.

Fleet Sharp (FS), WEX, and Great Lakes Management:
– Assign and manage vehicles within the Fleet Sharp system, including daily and weekly reporting.
– Oversee the WEX fuel management system, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.
– Remotely manage onsite fuel systems and reporting for the Great Lakes program.

Emergency Repairs:
– Coordinate and expedite scheduling of mechanics for emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Skills and Qualifications:
– Thorough understanding of DOT regulations and compliance or similar experience and the willingness to learn.
– Experience in fleet and maintenance management.
– Strong organizational and leadership skills.
– Proficiency in using fleet management software like Fleet Sharp and WEX systems.
– Effective communication skills and the ability to report and manage data accurately.
– A proactive approach to safety and efficiency in fleet operations.
– Technical background with understanding of mechanical systems is advantageous.

Experience Level:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, DOT compliance, or a related field.

Job Type
– Full-Time Remote: A dedicated salaried position requiring full-time commitment, working and being present online from 6:30am to 4:30pm CST hours. (12 hours different then Manila time) Secondary employment is not permitted.

Shift
– This is a remote position, but you will need to work Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch 9 working hours per day, 45 hours a week.

Salary and Benefits
– Salary: Commensurate with experience, within the range of 40,000-60,000 PHP Per Month, paid semi-monthly. Performance-based bonuses.
– Paid time off for U.S. holidays, vacation, additional benefits to be discussed.
