We are looking for a Level 1 IT Technician (Remote) to join our IT Support team. You will be responsible for:
Providing first-line technical support to our remote users via phone, email, chat, or remote desktop tools
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
Assisting with password resets and account lockouts
Installing and configuring software
Setting up and troubleshooting peripheral devices
Handling calls and tickets from remote users and logging them in the system
Onboarding new remote users and providing them with the necessary IT equipment and training
Participating in projects such as asset management, company documentation, and monthly reports
Tracking and managing remote IT equipment inventory
Maintaining an up-to-date database of hardware and software assets
Generating reports on remote support performance and user feedback
Enforcing and communicating IT security policies remotely
Coordinating with Level 2 or Level 3 support teams to escalate complex technical issues
This is a long-term, full-time position that requires working from 9 am to 6 pm EST. You will work remotely from your home office, but you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team. You will also have access to training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Very good English speaking and writing skills.
A few years’ experience and relevant IT certifications is a plus.
Proficiency in remote communication tools (video conferencing, remote desktop software, chat applications)
Understanding of common operating systems, basic hardware components, and standard office software applications
Strong remote communication skills, both verbal and written
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service with a focus on remote user satisfaction.
Effective time management and organization skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new remote technologies and IT processes.
Basic knowledge of IT security principles and a commitment to maintaining data and system security
Preferably with MSP experience
