Our company, King Arthur’s Transportation Support Services LLC, is currently looking for a Logistics Team Lead / Supervisor. We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic LEADER to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will possess have experience managing a team of at least 10 people and overseeing company operations. They will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and administrative tasks, all while supervising a growing team remotely.
As a supervisor, you will need to be able to work a flexible shift based off of business demand. You’d work Monday-Friday (Eastern Time) each week, 7AM-4PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Daily Job Duties:
– Creating and managing team schedules
– Reporting to senior management
– Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
– Helping to resolve worker’s issues and disputes
– Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
– Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
– Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
– Prepare and submit performance reports
– Hire and train new employees
– Helping the team understand performance targets and goals
– Coordinating job rotation and cross-training
– Assisting in resolving emergencies, such as a quality or customer problem that may escalate to the team supervisor for handling
– Identifying and resolving workplace problems, including tardiness or absenteeism
– Handle inbound & outbound calls
– Provide real-time support through multiple lines of communication via text messaging, email, online chat, and phone calls.
– Speak with customers and assist with intake paperwork; Review documents for accuracy and completeness
– Creates and maintains customer records
– Conduct initial intakes to ensure suitability of potential customers
– Update records of existing customers
– Prepare & review invoices, and other freight related documentation for commercial freight invoices.
– Organize driver pick-up/drop-off schedules
– Provide tracking information regarding shipments via email, phone, and other lines of communication.
Qualifications
– At least 2 years of experience working directly with English-speaking customers
– At least 2 years of work experience as a supervisor or manager
– Ability to read, write and converse in English language.
– Ability to learn and perform all primary job functions accurately with minimal supervision within 30 days of employment.
– Flexibility- can work off hour schedules (i.e. other than 9-5 Mon to Fri.) and some holidays as required.
– Experience working in a deadline driven environment.
– Can learn new systems and software quickly.
– Ability to multitask and manage 10–20 customers with complex inquiries on a daily basis.
– Experience with invoices.
– Can type at least 35 WPM with high level of accuracy
