Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Finance Associate to support our finance department in various accounting and financial analysis tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. This position is initially part-time with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and business needs. Candidates must be available to work during US business hours.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
– Conduct reconciliations of financial accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
– Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering relevant data and assisting in the preparation of financial projections.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
– Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
– Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
