About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage the daily operations of our travel blog website. This fully remote, part-time role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work closely with the employer to create engaging, SEO-friendly travel content.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Write new travel blog posts based on the employer’s travels and associated photos. The employer will provide high-level thoughts and high-quality images for each location.
SEO Optimization: Update current blog posts to maximize SEO and traffic using Yoast SEO and other relevant plugins.
Website Management: Manage and optimize the website, hosting, and plugins (including Avada theme, Monster Insights, Dreamhost, Mediavine, Comet Cache Pro, Smush Pro, JetPack, Lazy Load, UpDraft Plus, and others).
Content Review: Submit blog posts for review by the employer and make necessary revisions before publishing.
Digital Entrepreneurship: Participate in identifying underpriced assets (luxury watches, cars, jewelry, real estate) for purchase and resale. Training will be provided through an online class with videos and resources.
Requirements:
Advanced WordPress Skills: Proficiency in managing and optimizing WordPress websites, particularly with the Avada theme and the listed plugins.
SEO Expertise: Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience using Yoast SEO.
Excellent Writing Skills: High level of written English required. Experience in blogging, especially travel blogging, is highly preferred.
Digital Savvy: Ability to manage various digital tools and platforms effectively.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Interest in digital and online entrepreneurial pursuits, with a willingness to learn and apply new skills.
Compensation:
Base Salary: Weekly base salary dependent on the agreed-upon number of blogs published each week.
Performance Bonuses: Additional bonuses based on the results of the entrepreneurial online digital purchases and sales.
