Sterling PT and Wellness, a dynamic and patient-focused physical therapy practice, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Patient Intake & Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial referral to active patient status in our clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare processes, insurance protocols, and referral management, combined with exceptional sales skills and conversational English proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Intake Management:

Efficiently handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
Gather and verify patient information, health history, and insurance details.
Guide patients through the intake process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.

Scheduling and Coordination:

Manage and optimize patient appointment scheduling using our practice management software.
Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.

Insurance and Authorization:

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for treatments.
Liaise with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Sales and Conversion:

Utilize strong sales skills to convert referrals into active patients.
Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction and engagement, encouraging continued utilization of our services.
Administrative Support:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Provide administrative support as needed, including handling correspondence and managing referral documentation.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in healthcare intake, scheduling, or a related role.
Familiarity with healthcare terminology, insurance processes, and authorization procedures.
Strong sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate and persuade.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in conversational English, both written and spoken.
Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software systems.
