Job Description:
As a Quality Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in our financial reporting and record-keeping. Your primary duties will include reconciling accounts, reviewing transactions for accuracy, and assisting with financial audits. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and streamline our accounting procedures.
Responsibilities:
-Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
-Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
-Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
-Support financial audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
-Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
-Provide support in other tech-related tasks, such as data entry, software troubleshooting, and basic IT support as needed.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
-Previous experience in accounting or finance preferred
-Expertise in Accounting Programs such as QuickBooks Desktop
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
-Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
-Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment is essential
-Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to evolving processes, technology, and business demands.
-Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges are highly valued.
-Able to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
-Happy with a rate of $5 per hour
