Remote Retail Security Officer

We have a network of retail stores and are looking to hire remote security support for our teams.

Your role would be to monitor two or three stores at a time, watching specifically for:

(1) customer behavior – catching people who are shoplifting
(2) employees opening and closing the store correctly
(3) employees correctly clocking in and out for breaks
(4) employees acting correctly in the store (not sitting down while behind the registers, not eating food)
(5) employee time observation of how long it takes them to complete tasks

We recently completed a physical inventory and realized we are losing approximately 400 items per month in some of our store locations. Your support would allow us to catch people while they’re stealing, and then go after them civilly to fine them for shoplifting.

In addition to your base salary, we would offer a $50 bonus every time your work enabled us to catch a shoplifter and recover a civil demand from them. We would offer a $200 bonus each time you caught an employee stealing.

Over time, we would want to train you and provide access to our register information and time clock so you could monitor who is clocked into the store, and what is happening on the registers.

It would be a plus if you’ve worked in security or criminology, but not a requirement. I’m mostly looking for someone who would be excited to watch cameras for hours at a time, and who wouldn’t get bored at what’s happening.
